EPML is a genre-fluid live event rooted in electronic music, weaving together house, electro, breakbeat, techno, UK garage, disco, trap, ambient, and broken beat. It treats the club as a contemporary theatre, a space where music, dance, performance, installation, and visual art intertwine to create a collective, sensory experience. Designed for an open-minded and art-curious audience within the Dutch urban landscape, EPML celebrates diversity, individuality, and creative freedom.
The visual identity captures the passage of time through fluid, rhythmic movement. Inspired by the dialogue between sun and moon, it draws upon the imagery of sundials, shadows, and shifting light, symbols of continuity and artistic illumination. A grid system, oval and half-oval shapes, and floral shadows introduce a sense of organic motion, reflecting both structure and spontaneity. Together, these elements compose a visual rhythm that embodies transformation and temporality, yet in the moment feels infinite, a cycle without end, where time seems to stand still, the essence of Een Paar Minuten Lang (“A Few Minutes Long”).
